Design Build
Design–build is a project delivery system used in the construction industry. It is a collaborative design, procurement and construction method that brings together design professionals and contractors at the beginning of the design process.
This system integrates design services with general contracting services in order to reduce project delivery time. It also allows for design professionals to contribute input qualities necessary to deliver their services. The benefits of design–build include faster design development, improved project cost control, design fee retention, design service consistency and coordination of pre-construction phases.
Design–build offers more accountability on all aspects of the project because there are no third parties involved. This has been reported as one of several reasons why clients are attracted to this system over traditional or “design-bid-build” methods of design delivery.

Aptura has contracted with Holland Construction Group on 4 renovation projects ranging from $800k to $1.2M each. Two of them were near their corporate office and two are 3-5 hours from their corporate office. Each project was given the proper care it needed-whether it was near their office or further away.
Holland Construction has also bid several other renovation projects for Aptura and even if they were not successful in gaining the work—they are always competitive when comparing them to other GC bidders.
What I would say about Holland Construction which includes the main personnel (Boe Holland, Jeramy Gregston and their main site managers)—they are always putting their best foot forward and above everything else they are HONEST.
I will continue to use them on future projects.
I spoke to Boe for the first time when we encountered an issue during the process of building out our first restaurant. The contractor we were using didn’t know how to fix it and I was told that Boe probably could. Within a day of speaking with him, the issue that couldn’t be fixed by other professionals was fixed by him! I not only recommend Holland Construction, I’d say he’s the only construction company I’d be confident is using!
